Stayed Aug. 31, 2009, connecting through Honolulu airport, checked in late at night 10pm and had to leave again 5am: I promptly forgot the ac power adapter of my laptop and found out only after having returned to Europe (12 hours time difference), and phoned them: they had found the adapter, took down my address and sent it immediately, airmail, at no cost to me (they paid the US$* for airshipping!). Got it within a week - what a relief! - (it takes 2 to 3 weeks delivery time to buy a new ac adapter for this brand name laptop). Would I come back and stay there again: you bet!

The staff was friendly and helpful. The room was adequate. We only spent the night before our flight left the next morning so we didn't have a chance to try out the restaurant. There was also a fast food place around the corner. The hotel was close to the airport. We dropped off our car the night before and could have walked back to the hotel, but chose to take the shuttle. We did have to flag down the shuttle driver as he was in the far lane. But he stopped and we got on without any problems. The next morning the shuttle was ready to go and filled up fast even at 5AM. So I would suggest getting out there early. The shuttle runs every half hour. All in all it was an okay place to stay.

I checked in due to a delay at the airport so I started out unhappy. Newly renovated rooms with triple sheeting. New beds too! I liked the breakfast that was included. Made it back out of town the next day but my stay was very pleasant. The staff wore an "I CARE" buttom on their aloha shirts.

Very noisy, lots of ants...

The location itself is very noisy due to the freeways passing overhead which you hear in the rooms even with the windows closed (no sound proofing at all). In addition, the elevators make a terrible grinding noise that is heard in neighboring rooms -- sounds like construction is going on in the room next door. The air conditioning cannot be turned off in most rooms. The staff tells you to put the thermostat at the highest settings (90 deg) but cold air still blows into the room. Doesn't bother the ants, though, they get into everything you bring -- maybe they are looking for their ticket out? Rooms do have free internet access (Nov 2008, anyway), refrigerator, microwave; the on-site shop and restaurant are OK; desk staff is mixed -- some helpful, some rude.
