I spent the night here when I returned from an out of town trip. The room seemed a bit dingy and the furniture a bit cheap. The bed was comfortable and the towels ok. I paid $* for the night and thought the accommodations were over-rated for what I paid. The best thing was the free breakfast bar in the morning. Also, I must say the staff was friendly. I have spent less at other motels and had nicer experiences.

First, let me address the "All Suite" ploy - these are just regular hotels rooms with upgraded mattresses & a mini fridge. Granted, they are very comfortable mattresses, but we were 3 adults sharing a room and never would have booked anything other than a suite. We arrived very late so we stayed there that night then the next morning we moved a couple of blocks down to the Quality Suites, which is a truly all-suite hotel. Having been in the travel industry for almost 20 years, the first commandment of providing travel services is NO SURPRISES. Unfortunately, Best Western got this very, very wrong.

This is our Albuquerque airport hotel of choice--we use it to begin and/or end trips we make to the area. The beds are wonderfully comfortable, the rooms are spacious, and it's nice to have the micro and fridge amenities as we're finishing up a trip. This visit we were particularly delighted because we were, without notice or request, upgraded to a suite--even more space.

This hotel did not have an elevator, which was really awful for people who have luggage. The stairs were inconveniently designed and the hotel staff was apathetic. The hotel had a game night for guests which consisted of a card table placed nearly in front of the staircase, so those who had to lug their bags upstairs also had to avoid knocking people and cards from the table (since the people playing at the table never budged since they felt it was our fault that we had to carry our bags to our room at their game time). The hotel was hard to find. The area it was in could be considered shady at best and felt really creepy since all the streetlights on that road were out when we had stayed. This hotel was not really close to anything-even parking! The parking lot was shared with a breakfast chain, so most of the spots were reserved for restaurant patrons and hotel customers had to jockey for space. It was incredibly bad. For the price they were charging, I was expecting more. I wouldn't stay again, even if I had to walk to the airport. In fact, I wouldn't stay again even if it were free.

Hotel room was good value and close to the airport, important since we were flying out at 6am, computer access and printing options were good. Only problem was lobby smell, which concerned me until I determined that it stopped at the door to my room. Hallways were hot as well, so best to go into your room and stay.
