We have stayed at this hotel several times. We do not take the standard rooms - always upgrade. We do not take the breakfast - coffee shops just outside on street. Close to both old town Nice and the newer shopping areas. Very convenient for everything. Staff has always been very pleasant. The view from the bar on the top floor makes a trip to Nice worthwhile alone! We have stayed at many other hotels in Nice and Aston is our favorite because of location and believe me the rooms are not that small by comparison.

Tiny room - 2 pieces of luggage filled most available floor space. Be aware of the very-very fine print concerning the mandatory charge for breakfast on confirmation! During our stay we never went to breakfast, yet were charged the 20 Euros per person per day on our bill. Upon check in, we were advised that there was a breakfast ""available"" at a cost of 20 Euros per. It was presented to us in such a way as to appear to be an option. We declined this ""option"" and still was charged. It was pointed out upon our departure that this automatic fee was on the confirmation, (Which it was, in the fine print) Departure morning - wake up call came late - Front desk ""forgot"" to reserve cab for early departure to airport - which was previously set up. Clerk overlooked in their ""book"" Desk clerk did run outside hotel and flag down a passing cab.
