I've stayed at many Hampton Inns (the best one is in LaJolla, CA), but this one was a slight disappointment. The evening staff (check in) were polite and business like, but the person at the desk the following afternoon when I checked out was grumpy. And the breakfast was a notch below mediocre, mostly due to the fruit bowl. It was nearly empty, but I assumed everyone had a healthy appetite. Wrong. It was probably because the fruit was several days old. On first bite, I had to spit it out because it was rancid, and that was not due to the grapfruit wedges. It was just plain awful. Had a dry bagel instead. For the $143 it cost to stay there one night (with taxes), this particular Hampton Inn was not representative of the usual quality.

I recently stayed at the St. Louis Hampton Inn Airport and it was a great hotel. The room and bed was great and the breakfest was nice too for a continental breakfest. I highly recommend this hotel.
