Disliked this hotel immensely. It was not a 5 star experience. Asked for a room facing the water, got one facing the parking lot. Food service was an agony. No shower caps in bathroom, snooty front desk. Would never stay there again. Oh, the fitness room is great. Business center had no pens or paper available to make notes from the computer.

Not a 5 star hotel! Snooty front desk. Asked for a room facing the water, clerk said it would be $20.00 more, no shower caps, extremely slow service in restaurant, loudspeaker call at 5am to tell us that the power was off. Good fitness room, would never stay here again.

The staff was unfriendly. The food was good but very expensive for a family vacation. The furniture was all scuffed and the room appeared tired. The hotel has discontinued mini bar service, but they haven't removed the mini bars. They are empty but the menu with the prices is still displayed. I called the hotel and asked if they could take us to store in the shuttle and was told yes, but when we got to the hotel and asked for a ride to the store we were told it would cost $20 for them to take us to the nearest store, which was very close. Also, they blast elevator music at the pool. This is a corporate hotel and I do not recommend it for a family vacation.

Stayed at the Grand Hyatt in April 2009. I met with other girlfriends for a weekend and we had a great time. The hotel is in a good location. We stayed on the club level which is the best .The hotel offers a shuttle to and from the airport which was great(didn't know the area). The customer service could not have been better. Sunday brunch at Oystercatchers was wonderful and well worth the money. We all agreed that we would stay here again.

The Hyatt is a resort-like hotel where you can relax and still be within close proximity to downtown Tampa. Everything was well maintained and the service from everyone was great... I never had to touch the front door it was opened for me by them each time. We hang out by the pool drank, ate grilled burgers and met other hotel guests just relaxing. I opened my eyes from my bed to a breathtaking water view. I was a get-a-way weekend for me... I plan to return.
