Stay here for NASCAR Brickyard Race. Chose hotel because it was attached to airport. Well apparently airport terminal moved in November of 2008 and no one has told any of the internet sites. Never thought to ask the hotel when i called... The teminal is now a good 15 to20 minute ride by shuttle from hotel. Still get the airport feel with the planes taking off close by to help you sleep. Thank goodness they had sleep number beds. We will not have to go to the expense of buying one ourselves. This bed was very uncomfortably hard at any number. Purchased room with breakfast. The $15 coupon per day per room not person helped with the $25 to $30 breakfast bill. There was a breakfast buffet on the weekend for $10 each. After walking thru the water on the floor because of the rain on Saturday a.m. while at the buffet several of us commented that the buffet probably should have been set up away from the dripping ceiling in another part of the room. A man in a coat and tie came out and started mopping finally. Air conditioner / heat temperature button was broken off so there was no adjusting other than on and off. Hotel, restaurant and lounge was dark and old smelling. No information was fortcoming from front desk. Requested suggestions for seeing Indianapolis nothing except the race and George Strait being in town. Asked for a map of the area and they had just recently run out. Lounge was expensive and bartender not particularly friendly. Room was expensive considering no longer attached to the airport terminal and overall dinginess. Would not stay here again. Would not recommend the Radisson experience to any one.

Never Again

Our stay was one night, July 3rd, 2009. We did not get the Sleep Number Bed we had requested, the price quoted on line and the price I paid when I got there was $15.00 higher. We ordered room service from the hotel restaraunt using the menu in our room. A burger and fries was listed at $7.95 but we were charged $11.95. We were told it must have been the older menu in our room, ya think? They had recently changed them and obviously ours had not been changed. What not changed since 1999. A burger went up $4.00 from one menu pringting to the next? Even if it was a ""sirloin burger"". * for two burgers, fries and two cokes. course that was in cluding tax, room service fee and the included 15% tip. I prefer to calculate the percentage of tip I give on the level of service I receive. Isn't that what a tip should be? I guess needless to say on the way to the airport I took note of other hotels in the area that we will use on our next trip through Indianapolis.

The hotel was easy to find...just outside the Indianapolis Airport. Convenient parking. Very nice lobby with a lounge area. We enjoyed a few drinks in the lounge while waiting for the rest of our family to arrive. The hotel advertised that there would be a "Sleep Number Bed" but our bed was NOT a Sleep Number. As a matter of fact, the bed was the worst part of the room. It was lumpy and creaked loudly each time we got in and out. :(

The ladies who helped me at the front desk were friendly and always accomodating (I got free coffee one morning; we were able to check in early and check out late due to a expo we were attending). Room service took care of us with extra coffee, the rooms are nice and comfortable. Food at the restaurant is superb for dinner and delicious for breakfast as well, but the service is kinda slow so we ordered for pick-up most of the time. And they are one of the few hotels in Indianapolis who still have smoking rooms, which my husband needs. My only complaint is the bathroom counter was kinda small. We have stayed here twice and will stay again.
