A picture of the hotel from the Sky Lounge makes it appear as though you are looking out over the water near a harbor. There is no harbor or water view. The closest commuter train requires a taxi ride. Buses are over crowded in the area. People are helpful from the hotel staff to general community. Seems like a working class area; local neighborhood eateries were inexpensive and good, if you can find places having pictures of food choices. Locals try to help you. The bed was hard. Cable TV is a joke; few English channels. Someone came by and opened the hotel room door at a quarter to midnight saying they wanted to check the mini bar. If my husband hadn't been there I would have been very frightened. I tried calling the operator and asking what was happening. They didn't seem to understand me. The hotel's shuttle ride to/from the airport is an extra cost that isn't mentioned by Travel online. Only 1 tourist site nearby; it was excellent (Kowloon Walled City Park).

Located by hte "old" airport - the Regal is somewhat faraway from most attractions. However - for our kind of trip - which was leaving eraly morning and not coming back to the hotel until late night it was a great choice! Clean, pleasant and most importantly, way les expensive that anything else. Don't listen to the concierge telling you to take a taxi to where you want - there is a 25M bus at the hoel's doorstep, which comes by every 2-3 minutes and will take you to the closest MTR station.from there you'' get easily and quickly to anyhwhere you want to go. However, if you're looking to be within walking distance from pubs and stuff this is not the place for you. The one thing that did bother us was that access to the web was expensive, but you cannot plan your trip/wether/ transportation without it, so we had to take it. Still - for us - was a good vakue for money

This is located in real China town (Kowloon City)area locals friendly shopping cheap , it is out of the tourist belt.Staff could nopt have been more attentive to me altho' some did not understand the English they spoke.Had problems with breakfast ( cold) and they offered me an upgrade. The Pub was fun which is located near the Check In , The room was on the small size but not claustophobic.Would stay again but this is not for your pure tourist who wants everything at his/her doorstep.
