The hotel staff was fabulous! My cell phone did not work (even after speaking to AT& T before I left. Big fat liars! Another story!) My daughter e-mailed the hotel worried that she had not heard from us. They assured her we checked in and as soon as we came back, told us about it. The clerk, X, then told me to call her from the front desk phone. No charge!! Then my boss emailed, because my daughter had called him, wondering about us in front of the webcam I had supplied him with, so we could wave from Dublin. The clerk, Patrick slid the email under the door while we were out, and when we came in told us about it. He then pulled up the email and had me reply to my boss at the front desk. Impeccable service!! The rooms are adequate in size, but who spends much time in the room! As long as it is clean and the beds comfortable. The beds were comfy and I slept great, being exhausted from walking all over Dublin! I took earplugs because of posts I had read about the hotel, but I did not need them. It was quiet. We had a great time and I would stay there again! Wonderful deal for the money.

If you're looking for a clean but modest place to stay, it's great! Just a few blocks from the main thoroughfare, O'Connell street and about a 10 minute walk to the River Liffey. Several nice pubs and other restaurants / shopping right out the door!

Nice hotel for the price. Very small room but that is to be expected in Europe in a small hotel. Wonderful staff who went out of their way to return my lost credit card. I would not recommend room number 118 as it is right off the stairs and elevators. The doors bang a bit. There is no Air conditioning so if it is warm enough to keep the window open it will get loud either with the crowds on the street on one side or the seagulls on the other,

This hotel has an excellent location just a short walking distance to O'Connell Street. The staff was great, and the morning desk clerk went out of his way to make sure a room was cleaned for me so I could check in early. The cleaning service was great, and the room had the cleanest hotel bathroom I've ever seen.

The room itself is rather small especially for a twin and a front room does get noise from the street. However, the price, location and hotel staff would bring me back to this hotel.

It's true, our room (streetside) was darn loud. But having read the reviews before the trip, we brought ear plugs. This helped. The dilemma comes when you need to open the window to cool the room down. You will hear drunken, joyous yelling, cars, clicking high heels...all night. But, rooms have been remodeled. Very nice, clean. Small but very adequate for my friend and I who just went last minute to have a good time. Prime location (walk to Grafton Street, Temple Bar, Henry Street, River Liffey, Dublin Spire, O'Connel Street, Trinity College, etc). Fantastic location. Best tip for this hotel: avoid the breakfast! Repeat: avoid the breakfast!
