- The hotel is in the process of adding a 10 million Conference Center. There will be minimal noise from construction during daylight hours. The size of our property will allow the hotel to block the guests away from any potential noise issues.

Had a great one week stay at Mainsail Resort. If you are looking for a 5 star hotel, this isn't for you. This is an all condo resort. Kind of like staying at a time share - only you get maid service! Stayed in a one bedroom unit, very nice. You have to call for a set of pots and pans. Also had to call for a toaster - but it was delivered in about 15 minutes. Bed is a nice queen size. Flat screen TV in livingroom, large TV in bedroom. Very nice, large, warm pool. Large fitness room with TV's. Nice laundry room - coin operated machines - also with a TV. Staff at desk very, very helpful. They not only explained directions for me - but printed them out as well. As this was my first time in Tampa - it was quite helpful! Resort is easy to find - only a few miles from airport. Freeways are right there for easy access. Main drag - Hillsborough - right behind it with everything you can think of - easy drive to: Target, Walmart, Publix, Walgreens, etc. Picked up a few extra things at the Big Dollar Store that we needed - like some extra cooking utensils - and we settled in for the week. I was very pleased.

This large, all condo resort is a great place to stay at a very good price. No, it's not hard to find. You do not need a GPS. It's only 4 minutes from the airport. The location is primo. Hillsborough - a busy street - is one block away - Publix, Target, Marshall's, gas stations, restaurants, etc. all there. You can catch the freeway - Veterans Expressway -also just one block away - and head anywhere. The pool was huge and warm. Very nice and very large exercise room with TV's. Staff very eager to please. When we asked where something of interest was - they even printed out directions for us. Housekeeping was very good too. You have to call for a set of pots and pans - there is a card in the room advising you of this. We called and someone was there within 15 minutes. Had to call for a toaster as well - but someone came right away. The bed was a nice queen size - no problems getting comfortable. Bathroom clean and bright, hair dryer under the sink. Nice flat screen TV in living room, large TV set in bedroom. Laundry room (machines use quarters) located by exercise room - TV in there too! Iron in room. I can't say enough positive things. We stayed a week - and felt right at home. Kind of like having a time share - only you get maid service! Already planning a return visit.

These are true full size condos, full size kitchen, however no dishes or cooking pots or coffee cups. no drinking glasses. Entire complex has only one size bed ;queen;. they don't memtion this on hotwire. which means two tall large people can't sleep in the bed. There is a sofa pull out But when you're a big person it is imposible to sleep on one of these things. We had planed to stay 4 nights but were so uncomfortable we left after two, even though it meant losing 2 nights deposit. One must have a GPS to find the place. It really is well hidden. On the good side this place would have been a great place for business meetings. Very quite, nice pool and hot tub. Resteraunt prices were so outragious we didn't even try it. Even with a hotwire deal the place was a ghost town. The people at the front desk were wonderful They certainly tried to make us happy. but the bed was the killer.

I stayed from May 26, to June 2, 2009. Positives: The property is beautiful and well maintained. There is so much wildlife in the area and it makes each trip to the pool an adventure! During the week, I observed several frogs, several exotic birds, several large turtles and even a strange black snake! I was waiting to see an alligator but never did. The swimming pool is fantastic as well as the hot tub. The exercise room is probably the best I've ever seen at a hotel. Full of workout equipment and even free weights. There is a restaurant and convenience store on the property and were well maintained. Outside the main lobby and throughout the property there is a sense of ""tropical paradise"" in the air. Beautiful palm trees, plant life and well maintained lawns! It was very relaxing on the property. Negative: Over all the service started out pretty good. When we realized that we needed additional blankets/pillows, we called the office and the items were brought within minutes to the room. As the week progressed however, we could not even get toilet paper or towels brought to the room. What was really upsetting was the fact that when we called for the items, the front desk advised that the items would be delivered. The items were never delivered. Also had a bad experience with teenageers in pool talking xxx conversation in front of children. This was no fault of the property but was a blackeye to the trip. Overall: The stay was pleasant. The kitchen and large living space was great (we saved $ on groceries/food costs). I would stay again but would plan to treat the complex/hotel as if it were simply renting a private home (don't expect amenities-come prepared). Very safe, clean environment.
