very nice hotel. very attentive staff, all around. loved the room and the breakfast, and evening happy hour food, helped cut down my food costs for the trip. good location close to t train, and walking distance to a great italian restaurant. felt safe walking to the train alone , very safe location , met alot of nice people at the hotel / other guests. would stay again. the maintaince man came to replace the tv remote and only knocked once before letting himself in , glad my son was there , it was a concern for me .

When we travel with our kids, we like to stay in a suite hotel and this was a great choice. Our bedroom was separate from the main room by a real door. The kids slept on a fold out sofa which was pretty comfortable. The main room also had a wet bar with small microwave and frig. Our bed was very comfortable and had a sheet over and under the blanket, which (at a hotel) I really like! The room was very clean, including the bathroom. The bathroom did not have an exhaust fan (which I hate!) but that was the only drawback. Our room was well stocked with towels and pillows. One thing that surprised me is that there was NO AIRPORT NOISE AT ALL. We were on the 7th floor and you could not hear anything at all. The hotel staff was very helpful with getting taxi service or shuttle to the airport. They stored our bags after we checked out so we could spend the day in the city before we flew home in the evening. The "T" (subway) is a short, flat and seemingly safe 5 - 10 walk from the hotel. You simply walk through a park / athletic field to get there. It was well lit when we walked through after dusk and there were soccer players finishing up games (and the fields are artificial turf so it was not muddy or dirty at all!). The only other thing to comment on is the breakfast -- standard Embassy Suites fare with a hot and complete buffet including made to order omelets, fresh fruit, cereal, eggs, bacon, pancakes, etc. It would have been $40 for our family of 4 to eat this out!

Stayed here numerous times in 07 and most recently in October 08. Highly recommended for those young at heart and not afraid of the T or walking, which is the best way to experience Boston anyway. The Blue line is about a five min walk across the soccer fields directly in front of the hotel, and is a short ride into downtown Boston at State Street or Govt Center (where you connect about anywhere including the Green line to Fenway and Back Bay areas). Govt Center is also a great access to Quincy Market and North End bars and restaurants, and Kinsale's Irish Pub across the street on Cambridge is also a good stop. Also a lot of other great pubs up Cambridge St. or if you're on your way to Banknorth Gardens. Roomwise, the rooms are great and comfortable. The made-to-order eggs/omelets as part of comp breakfast is a great start to the day also. The bar and restaurant is not otherwise recommended, although the bar is a nice place (although as bright as an operating room) to get a quick cocktail or meet friends before beginning your adventure into the city. On the minus side....last Blue line leaves Govt Center around 12:30 and will be crowded with second shift working class returning home to East Boston, and if you miss the last train it can be an expensive cab ride back to the hotel. Another note....a few of the upper floor rooms have an open view to the syline of downtown Boston....and in the morning and after nightfall offers an incredible view. Most rooms, however, open to airport or airport parking, thus no big deal....so ask for the skyline view. The desk clerk may or may not be smart enough to fix you up with a view.

It was fantastic!! The hotel shuttle was there promptly to pick us up from the airport and was readily available all weekend to take us to the train station (subway). This is a great place to stay if you want to see Boston because it's just out of the city, so it's more affordable, but the free shuttle takes you to the train station where its only a few minutes to downtown Boston. The breakfast was fabulous and there were free appetizers in the evening....decent pool and hottub were also a plus!!! The staff was friendly and helpful to obviously clueless travelers! Highly recommend!
